On Monday, I picked up my books for the spring semester. For the first time, I managed to buy textbooks for both classes for less than $100. This is especially surprising because the bookstore didn't have any used copies of the AutoCAD book in stock. I had to buy it new for $68.
This is a sharp contrast to last semester when I spent close to $200...also for 2 books.
Menchie, I don't know how things are in the Philippines, but here, college textbooks are way more expensive than regular books. In the past, when I complained about having to spend $50 on a used book, I was laughed at. Last semester, I paid $140 for my architectural history book. Some books cost even more.
KJ, I am really looking forward to this class. I'm hoping it can help me find inspiration and new ideas for designing our new kitchen. We've been talking about this remodel for ages, and we're going to do it...just not until we're armed with every single solitary piece of knowledge we can find on the subject.

In other words, it may never get done.
